Most outdoor kitchen projects force a choice: wait months for a custom masonry build, or settle for a grill on a cart. The Blaze Waterfall Series from Big Ridge Outdoor Living sits in between. Each island arrives finished, with the sides, the granite top and the Blaze appliances already worked out, and it bolts together on your patio in an afternoon.
This guide walks through all six layouts, the finishes, the appliances and the questions buyers ask most, so you can pick the island that fits your space and the way you cook.
The short answer: The Blaze Waterfall Series is a line of six prefabricated outdoor kitchen islands by Big Ridge Outdoor Living, from 6 ft (72 inches) to 10 ft (120 inches) wide. Every island has a granite countertop that continues down both ends in a waterfall edge, comes in five side finishes and two granite colors, and is built around Blaze grills, griddles and refrigeration. All islands are 31 inches deep and 37.75 inches high to the countertop, ship by freight and carry a Big Ridge 20 year limited warranty.

What makes the Waterfall Series different
Three things set these islands apart from a standard prefab kitchen.
- The granite waterfall. The countertop does not stop at the edge. The granite turns and runs down both ends of the island to the ground, so the stone reads as one solid piece from every angle. It is the detail that makes a backyard island look built in instead of dropped in.
- It arrives finished. The sides are already clad in natural stacked stone or Artisan Plank, and the granite is already cut for the appliances. There is no masonry, tile or stucco to schedule. Finishes: five sides, two granite tops
Every layout comes in any of five side finishes paired with either of two granite countertops, for 10 combinations per island.

Natural stone varies piece to piece, so no two islands look exactly alike. Artisan Plank gives you the look of wood without staining or sealing. Because granite is a natural stone, every slab has its own pattern and color variation.
The Blaze appliances inside
Every Waterfall island is built around Blaze Outdoor Products appliances in 304 stainless steel, so the grill, storage and refrigeration match.
Grills
- Blaze Premium 32" grill (BLZ-1 to BLZ-4): four cast stainless burners at 14,000 BTUs each plus a 10,000 BTU rear infrared burner, with 715 square inches of cooking space, about 18 burgers at once. Searing rods, heat zone separators, flame thrower ignition, interior lights and a lift assist hood come standard.
- Your choice of 32" grill: the grill opening on the 32" islands fits any Blaze 32" built in grill, including the BCM, Premium LTE+ and LTE PRO, and one insulated jacket fits all three.
- BLZ-5 grill: the Blaze Premium 32" grill with a digital temperature display, two meat probes, hexagonal cast stainless grates and an included rotisserie kit.
- Blaze LTE PRO 40" grill (BLZ-6): five burners plus a rear burner for 80,000 BTUs across 897 square inches, with a digital display, two meat probes and a rotisserie kit.
Griddles and burners
- Blaze Premium LTE+ 30" griddle (BLZ-4): 480 square inches of stainless cooking surface over two heat zones (30,000 BTUs), with a front pull out grease tray.
- Blaze LTE PRO 40" griddle (BLZ-6): 657 square inches over three burners (45,000 BTUs), with a digital display for each zone and three meat probes.
- Blaze power burner (BLZ-3): a 60,000 BTU dual ring burner with a removable wok ring, built for seafood boils, frying and high heat wok cooking.
Pick your refrigeration
BLZ-1 and BLZ-5 let you choose how you keep things cold. Both options in each size fit the same opening in the island and are outdoor rated.
- BLZ-1, 24" opening: a glass door beverage center that puts drinks and wine on display, or a refrigerator with a solid stainless door.
- BLZ-5, 20" opening: a glass door beverage center, or a compact refrigerator with a stainless door, a lock and a door ajar alarm.
Storage
Soft close door and drawer combos with LED drawer lights, double access doors with a paper towel holder, and a narrow roll out trash drawer with a 42 quart bin keep tools, supplies and trash out of sight.
How it is built and how it goes together
Under the finish, every Waterfall island sits on a fully welded frame of 1 inch triple galvanized steel tubing, sheathed in WonderBoard Lite cement board. The board is noncombustible and resists moisture, mold, mildew and pests, so the island is made to live outside year round.
The island ships by freight as finished modules that are easy to carry into a backyard or onto a deck. In stock islands typically ship within 3 to 5 business days. From there, two people can have it standing in about an hour:
- Clear a path from the drop off point to the patio, and check every box before you sign for delivery.
- Unpack the modules, which takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
- Bolt the modules together at each corner and the middle seam with the included wrench and hardware, which takes about 30 to 60 minutes.
- Level the island with the built in adjustable feet.
- Set the Blaze appliances in their openings, then have a licensed pro connect gas and power.
What you provide: a level, solid surface such as a concrete pad, pavers or a deck rated for the weight; a natural gas line or a propane tank (choose your fuel when you order); and a 110V GFCI outlet for grill lights, displays and refrigeration. Which Waterfall layout is right for you?
Start with the space you have, then match the island to the way you cook. Measure the spot and leave room to open the grill hood, doors and drawers and to walk around the island.
- About 6 ft of space, and you want cold drinks by the grill: BLZ-1, with a 24" beverage center or refrigerator.
- About 6 ft of space, and you want storage and a hidden trash bin: BLZ-2.
- About 8 ft of space, and you love smash burgers, breakfast and fajitas: BLZ-4, the grill and griddle island.
- About 8 ft of space, and you host often: BLZ-5, with a 20" beverage center or refrigerator plus a trash drawer.
- About 8 ft of space, and you cook seafood boils or wok dishes: BLZ-3, with the 60,000 BTU power burner (coming soon).
- 10 ft or more, and you cook for a crowd: BLZ-6, with the Blaze LTE PRO 40" grill and 40" griddle, more than 1,500 square inches of cooking space in total.

Warranty: 20 years on the island
Big Ridge covers the frame, cabinets, modules, facades and countertop of every Waterfall island with a 20 year limited warranty for home use, and 3 years for commercial or shared spaces such as rentals, restaurants and HOA areas.
- Starts on the installation date on your installer's invoice, or the purchase date if that can't be confirmed.
- Transfers to the next owner of the home with written notice to Big Ridge.
- Does not cover labor, shipping on parts, damage from improper installation or use, or normal weathering and natural variation in stone and wood.
- Blaze appliances carry their own Blaze warranties, including lifetime coverage on the main burners, cooking grids and body of each grill and griddle, and on the access doors and drawers. Register each Blaze appliance within 30 days of purchase.

Should I get a beverage center or a refrigerator?
On BLZ-1 and BLZ-5 you can pick either one, and both fit the same opening. Choose the glass door beverage center to show off drinks and wine, or the solid stainless refrigerator to keep food and drinks out of sight.
Do the islands work with propane or natural gas?
Both. You choose your fuel type when you order. A licensed professional should connect the gas, and gas and electrical hookups are not included.
Do I need electricity?
Yes. Plan for a 110V GFCI outlet within reach to power the grill lights, digital displays and refrigeration.
How long does assembly take?
Most owners finish in 30 to 60 minutes, plus 30 to 45 minutes to unpack. Two people are recommended, and the wrench, hardware and leveling feet are included.
Can a Waterfall island go on a deck?
Yes, as long as the deck is level and can carry the weight of the island and appliances. Keep the grill out from under combustible roofs and overhangs, and follow the Blaze manual for clearances.
