How the Design Ready RTF System Works

Design Ready is the Big Ridge ready to finish (RTF) system. Each kitchen is built at the factory on a fully welded, triple galvanized steel frame, wrapped in cement board, and cut and vented for its appliances. It arrives as a complete structure without the final exterior, so you, your mason or your contractor can apply stone veneer, brick, stucco, tile or another finish that matches your home. You get the speed of a prefab outdoor kitchen with the custom look of a masonry build.

Warranty: The Big Ridge frame and cabinets carry our 20 Year Limited Warranty. Appliances and other components made by other brands are covered by their manufacturer’s warranty.

When marked 'In Stock', your model is pre-built and ships from our warehouse within 3–5 business days.

If availability shows "Made to order in…", the outdoor kitchen is built to order and lead times will be specified.

Example: "Made to order in 7–10 days" means your build will begin the next business day after your order, and ship within 10 business days.

Custom orders have longer lead times, which your designer will confirm at order time.

Average shipping times range from: 2 days to nearby states (e.g. Florida, Ohio, North Carolina)
Up to 5 days or more to farther locations (e.g. California, Oregon)

Backyard Concierge or Platinum Concierge Delivery:

If you selected Backyard Concierge or Platinum Concierge Delivery, your kitchen will be picked up and delivered by the same technicians who will assemble it. Your delivery and installation date will be coordinated when our concierge team contacts you to schedule service.

Shipping Disclaimer:

We will do everything in our power to ensure your outdoor kitchen ships on time and arrives safely. However, please note that freight carriers operate independently, and we cannot guarantee exact delivery dates or times. Please do not schedule contractors or utilities until you have your outdoor kitchen on site to eliminate possible conflicts from unforeseen delays.

No. Design Ready kitchens ship ready to finish, so the countertop material is not included. You or your contractor can add granite, stone, concrete, tile or another countertop that matches your home.

Most customers complete assembly in just 30–60 minutes. We recommend setting aside an extra 30–45 minutes to unpack and stage your kitchen. Each unit is professionally crated and packed to prevent shipping damage, which may take a bit of time to unbox.

Everything Big Ridge builds is covered by our 20 Year Limited Warranty for home use, and 3 years for commercial or shared use. That includes frames, cabinets, modules and enclosures.
