Choosing Outdoor Refrigeration
Outdoor rated units are built to hold their temperature in summer heat, which an indoor or garage fridge is not designed to do. Most fit a 15, 20 or 24 inch opening under the counter. Glass door models put drinks on display, solid doors hold the cold a little better, and drawer models keep food within easy reach.
Ice makers and kegerators often need a drain or a dedicated outlet, so read the installation notes on each product before you build. Finish the opening with a matching trim kit where one is offered.
